Community Safeguarding CIC - Parent support advice clinics are here to help if you are experiencing difficulties relating to the pressures of family life. The service gives the opportunity to book one-to-one guidance or signposting sessions with a qualified Social Worker, Catherine Harris. Catherine can work with the parent or provide sessions with your child, using play to provide emotional support.

Catherine is available on the 3rd Thursday of the month, starting 15th May 2025, from 12 oclock, at Fairycroft House, Saffron Walden. Issues may include:

• Impact of acrimonious parental separation
• Isolated families, particularly single parents
• Managing challenging behaviour, including diagnosed and undiagnosed additional needs
• Impact of financial difficulties
• Managing children at the edge of anti-social behaviour such as low-level criminal behaviour and vulnerability to involvement in gang and drug culture

There is the opportunity for group sessions if there are a group of parents with similar issues who would benefit from peer support. .
