The Garden Room (Saffron Walden Day Centre)
The Garden Room is based in the delightful setting of Jubilee Gardens, in the centre of Saffron Walden. The centre is warm and inviting and is an ideal location to enjoy a coffee and cake, or home cooked lunch with friends or make new friends. Occasional activities and events are held.
Who can use this service?
How are services delivered?
Anyone disabled or 55 years and over is welcome. Special diets can be catered for. The centre is also available to anyone for private hire and is ideal for private functions such as parties and group meetings. It has WiFi, a commercial kitchen and has full disabled access and facilities.
The centre is open from 9:00am Monday to Friday, serving breakfasts, hot and cold drinks, home baked scones and cakes, snacks and hot lunches. A group of friendly and dedicated volunteers help serve customers making sure that everyone is made welcome and enjoys their time at the centre. Lunches do need to be booked in advance by 10:00am on the day.
