ECC: SEND Information, Advice and Support Service

The SEND IASS can help if you are a parent or carer, or a child or young person who needs information, advice and support about special educational needs and disability issues. We offer impartial and confidential support over the telephone or in person around educational issues.

Who can use this service?

Children and young people aged up to 25 years who have SEND, parents and carers of children and young people who have SEND. It is a free service.

How are services delivered?

Services are delivered through telephone, email and face to face work. There is a central helpline for the service email send.iass@essex.gov.uk or tel 01245 204338 and area caseworkers for the service covering the four quadrants in Essex - Harlow, Basildon, Braintree and Colchester.
