Who can use this service?
Anyone who is struggling to buy food for themselves or their family can be referred to a foodbank. Referrals are made by local care professionals such as Health Visitors, GPs, Social Workers, Citizens Advice Bureau, Schools, Mental Heath Support Workers, Council Housing or Benefits Departments.
How are services delivered?
An electronic referral is sent via Uttlesford Frontline. The client will be contacted and offered the choice of having their parcel delivered or collecting it from the Saffron Walden warehouse. They will also be signposted or referred to additional support services if appropriate.
Referral agents - please note that a minimum of 2 clear weeks must elapse between referrals.
