Uttlesford Community Travel
Uttlesford Community Travel supply fully accessible transport, for the disabled, Over 60s and those that are rurally isolated, living in Uttlesford. This service supports hospital, GP and all medical appointments, but also social travel helping vulnerable, isolated or lonely people get to social visits or just a shopping trip allowing people to maintain their independence and be part of their community. Group trips can be arranged. We are wheelchair friendly. There is a charge for this service.

You do have to be a member of Uttlesford Community Travel to use our Hospital Car service. Joining is easy – just download and complete a membership form (available from the Membership page) send us your membership fee of £12 a year, and you can begin booking your travel with us.
The car drivers volunteer their time so you only have to pay the driver’s vehicle costs at a rate calculated by mile travelled. Our mini bus is levied at £5.00 for the first 2 miles and £1.40 pence per mile up to 15 miles (please contact the office for cost of trips over 15 miles). Our Hospital car service is £5 minimum charge, then £0.60 per mile paid to the driver for all miles over 8.
