Uttlesford Sanctuary Scheme

The Sanctuary Scheme is a victim-centred service that consists of the installation of security measures, in and around properties to enable households at risk of domestic abuse to live safely in the property if they choose to do so. Sanctuary Schemes help families to stay in their homes if they have become victims of domestic violence or hate crime.

The service is accessed through the Housing Options Team at Uttlesford District Council. The Housing Options team will provide advice and may create a personal housing plan as part of homelessness prevention work.
